Homicide Investigation involving a 14-year-old juvenile

On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at approximately 9:18 p.m., police officers responded to the 2600 block of Cheshire Drive South in reference to one shot.  Upon arrival, officers located a 14-year-old male juvenile suffering from multiple gunshot wounds outside the residence. 

The preliminary investigation reveals the victim was in front of the residence when an unknown vehicle with unknown subjects pulled up to the location and fired several shots striking the victim.    The victim was transported to the hospital, where he later died due to his injuries.

Update:

Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify Kelvin Estell, Jr., 22, as the fifth subject involved.  He will be charged with murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and shooting into an unoccupied vehicle.

Update: 

Kentrell Freeman, 23, the fourth suspect, has been arrested.  He will be charged with murder. 

Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify Ryan Kidd, 18, as one of the subjects involved.  He will be charged with murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and shooting into an unoccupied vehicle.  

Update:

During the investigation, detectives were able to identify Teriana Thompson, 18, as one of the subjects involved.  On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, she was arrested and charged with murder.  

Update:

Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify Deontae Kimbrough, 19, as one of the subjects involved.  He will be charged with murder and shooting into an unoccupied vehicle, and shooting into an occupied building.  More arrests are pending.
