About Mobile Police Department

MPD engages in over 200,000 police/civilian interactions a year

Interactions between the Mobile Police Department and citizens happen 24/7. Over 200,000 interactions take place between police officers and citizens each year.

Interactions with civilians take place on patrol, at police headquarters, at the police precincts, over the phone, in schools, answering calls for service, with Community Advisory Panel members, at public presentations, through 911 calls and countless other ways.

Mobile Police Department officers and employees are citizen-oriented, carrying out each interaction in a respectful and effective manner.
