On Monday, March 2, 2026, at approximately 11:18 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Valdez Drive and Skipper Drive in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim deceased in the roadway. It was discovered he was shot while walking.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered at least two male subjects were walking in the area at the time of the shooting and immediately left the area on foot.
A juvenile male subject was arrested Monday, and additional arrests are likely as the investigation continues.
Officers identified the victim as Laterrius Bailey, 25.
