Pamela Rooks honored as Civilian Employee of the Month

The Mobile Police Department honors Pamela Rooks as the Civilian Employee of the Month for September 2022. Hired 12 years ago and assigned to the Property Unit for the past six years, Rooks serves as a Community Resource Officer. She is recognized for her outstanding job performance.

 

Rooks’ duties include taking in and releasing property, preparing for property auctions, maintaining property inventories, and scanning and filing documents, along with numerous other duties that make the operations of the Property Detail run efficiently. She works tirelessly to ensure that the property is properly documented and stored.

 

During the past year, Rooks has taken on additional responsibilities such as being on-call at night to take in property. She also volunteers to work overtime when police headquarters needs to be disinfected or the floors need to be waxed.

 

Along with her strong work ethic, Rooks always has a positive attitude. She recognizes the importance of teamwork and is willing to work with others to accomplish a task.  Additionally, Rooks always treats the public and police officers she interacts with in a cordial manner.
