MPD Now Accepting Applications for Junior Police Summer Camp

Applications are now being accepted for the Junior Police Summer Camp. This is an opportunity for kids who are fascinated with becoming a police officer to join the Mobile Police Department for a week-long adventurous learning experience. The camp takes place at the Mobile Police Academy on July 8 through July 12 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Junior Police Summer Camp is for kids ages 9 to 12. Each day, students will explore the role of a police officer and participate in specialty unit field trips. Daily the kids will also be required to participate in a 30-minute physical training.

Based on completed application and essay, up to 20 kids will be selected for the Junior Police Summer Camp. The cost is $60 per person. The deadline to apply is May 31.
