On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at approximately 11:54 p.m., officers responded to 4031 Airport Boulevard (Hillcrest Estates) in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim with a fatal gunshot injury inside of the apartment unit. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the victim’s boyfriend, Jakoby Fowler, 24, shot the victim.
Fowler remained on scene. He was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.
The victim’s name will be released once next of kin has been notified.
This remains an active investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.
