On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers responded to 4454 Halls Mill Road (Chips Auto Glass) in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with a fatal gunshot wound in the parking lot of the business.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered the victim arrived at the business and initiated an altercation with a male individual. It was discovered that the victim pointed a handgun at the subject, and that’s when the subject shot the victim.
The subject drove himself to our 2nd Precinct to turn himself in where he was detained for questioning. At this time, no arrest has been made.
This case has been handed over to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office for review. At this time, no further information will be released.
The victim has been identified as Evan Bagley, 25.
