Carl Washington, Jr., 20, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail in reference to this morning’s homicide on Darwood Drive.
The victim has been identified as a 17-year-old juvenile, therefore his identity will not be released.
On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at approximately 3:34 a.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Darwood Drive in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle resting against a residence with a male victim deceased in the front yard.
The name of the deceased will be released upon notification of the next of kin. This is an active investigation and no further details will be released at this time to protect the integrity of this case.
