On Friday, January 21, 2022, at approximately 8:07 p.m., police officers responded to the 700 block of Johnston Avenue in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 24-year-old female and 26-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. While on the scene, officers located another 26-year-old male on the sidewalk suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. All three victims were transported to the hospital for their injuries.
While at the hospital, Tawanne Lucas, 26, died from his injuries. This investigation is ongoing. No additional details will be released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation.
