On January 23, 2022, at approximately 3:01 p.m., police officers responded to the 2400 block of Senator Street in reference to one stabbed. Upon arrival, police officers detained a 36-year-old male subject armed with a knife. Officers located an adult male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Omar Brown, 43, was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Freddie Maxwell, 36, was arrested in the stabbing death of his stepfather.
