Shooting on the 600 block of Euclid Avenue Leaves One Dead and Four Injured

On Friday, March 29, 2024, at approximately 1:08 p.m., police officers responded to a shooting incident on the 600 block of Euclid Avenue.  Upon arrival, they found four men with gunshot wounds.  These individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment.  Subsequently, another person arrived at the hospital in a personal vehicle with a gunshot wound.  Within the group of victims, one has succumbed to his injuries, another is in critical condition, and the remaining three have non-life-threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the victims were standing in the rear of a residence when a group of men in an unknown vehicle approached and began firing.  The subjects fled the scene before officers arrived. 

This investigation is ongoing.  The deceased's name will be released pending notification of the next of kin.

Update:

Two victims, both aged 40, have died from their injuries. They have been identified as Michael Lane and Marvin Richardson, Jr.  The injuries of the remaining three individuals remain unchanged.  This is an ongoing investigation
