Operation West Side, 9 Arrested on unlawful distribution

Over the past three months, the MPD Narcotics and Vice Unit conducted an investigation in the communities near Athey Road, Cody Road, and Zeigler Boulevard for sales of illegal drugs. On September 22, 2022, the final wave of search warrants to close the operation were executed.

 

With the assistance of SWAT, K-9 Detail, and the Street Enforcement Team, four search warrants were executed in the operation area. Seizures from the total operation include 4.5 pounds of marijuana, 4.5 grams of cocaine, 3.8 grams of meth, 40 hydrocodone pills, 31 grams of codeine syrup, $1,866 in U.S. currency, and five firearms.

 

Nine people were arrested. Of that number, five were targets. There remain seven suspects wanted by police on unlawful distribution of a controlled substance charges. They are Joseph Dixon, 22; Willie Williams, 41; David Carlton, 26; Horatio Holifield, 37; Keantea Faulkner-Abrams, 27; Johnathan Wright, 27; and Samuel Jones, 41.
