On Monday, February 23, 2026, at approximately 3:15 a.m., officers responded to the area of Old Shell Road and Cosgrove Drive in reference to a traffic accident. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim deceased. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the victim was standing outside of his vehicle with hazard lights on in the WB lane of Old Shell Road when another vehicle traveling WB struck him. The driver of the other vehicle remained on scene. The victim’s name will be released once next of kin have been notified. This remains an active investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.
