Police Arrest Police Impersonator

On January 27, 2010 Mobile Police arrested Carlos Anthony Black (24) for Impersonating a Police Officer. On January 25, 2010 police were called to a residence in the 6000 block of Boykin Road for a report of an unknown male impersonating a Police Officer. Mr. Black was repossessing the victim's vehicle from her residence and was dressed in a brown shirt with a star on the front and back with the word OFFICER over the top of the star. Mr. Black was also wearing a Fugitive Recovery Agent badge around his neck. After Mr. Black got into a verbal altercation with the victim stating he was a City Officer he then snatched the victim out of the car by her feet. Mr. Black then fled the scene with the victim's vehicle hooked to a tow truck.

On January 27, 2010 Mr. Black was located by Detectives while driving in the area of Government Street and I-65 driving in a white Crown Victoria with no tag. Mr. Black was stopped and transported to Second precinct for questioning reference to the repossession of the victim's vehicle. Mr. Black was then transported to metro jail and charged with Impersonating a Police Officer.
