UPDATE: On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, the charges for David Smith were upgraded. He is now charged with Capital Murder. All further information on this case will come from the DA’s Office.
On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at approximately 11:31 p.m., officers responded to 3811 Old Shell Road (Wilmer Hall) in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim deceased after she was shot inside of the location by a known male subject.
The victim has been identified as Amiayia White, 20.
On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, David Smith, 21, was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.
