MPD Honors Excellent Police Officers

May 19th, 2010

Mobile, Ala. — "Each time you strap on that gun belt and pin that badge to your shirt and go to work, you don't know what lies ahead…but you go anyway. I want to tell you publicly that I am proud of you each and EVERY day for putting your lives on the line to keep the citizens of this city safe," Mobile Police Chief Micheal T. Williams said to his fellow officers at the 2009 Mobile Police Department Recognition Banquet and Awards Presentation on the evening of May 18. Sponsored by the Exchange Club of Mobile, the annual event honors officers who performed above and beyond the call of duty in 2009.
