May Civilian Employee of the month awarded to Angela Finch

Jun 14th, 2022

The Mobile Police Department recognizes Angela Finch as the Civilian Employee of the Month for May 2022. Angela is relied upon by numerous investigators in the department. She serves as a cyber intelligence analyst while also excelling as an asset to the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC). She has assisted investigators in 43 felony cases as well as provided key evidence that led to arrests in those cases.

On Mother’s Day, May 8, 2022, an unknown suspect in the McDonald’s drive-thru on Hillcrest Road began firing shots at another vehicle in the parking lot. After investigators submitted video evidence to the RTCC, Analyst Finch used various databases and Project Shield video sources to identify the car and its owner. Due to her hard work and dedication, it led investigators and specialized units to then arrest the suspect.

During the same month, several vehicles were broken into near Magnolia Grove and Heron Lakes Golf Club. Witnesses stated that a small black sedan was involved in the offenses. After the RTCC obtained the video evidence from Project Shield sources, Analyst Finch identified the car. Her investigation led to the discovery of a likely suspect and later that month that suspect was arrested on seven counts of unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle.
