On Sunday, May 6, 2018 at approximately 8:31 a.m., police responded to Providence Hospital in reference to report of possible child abuse to the 4-month-old victim. The victim ultimately died as a result of his physical injuries.
Markeise Caldwell, 25, was arrested and charged with capital murder. He was also charged with aggravated child abuse for another child. Caldwell is the boyfriend of the victim's mother.
