Homicide Investigation on the 1000 block of Scottsdale Court

On Saturday, August 20, 2022, at approximately 9:37 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Scottsdale Court in reference to a shooting involving a domestic altercation.  The victim 32-year-old male was discovered inside the residence with a gunshot wound. Mobile Fire-Rescue Department pronounced the victim deceased on the scene. 

The victim's name will be released upon notification of the next of kin.  

The victim’s ex-girlfriend, Krystal Miskel, 33, was taken into custody on the scene.  She was transported to Metro Jail and charged with murder.  No additional details will be released to protect the integrity of the investigation.

The victim has been identified as Jamies Johnson, 32.
