On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at approximately 1:15 a.m., officers responded to the 2200 block of High Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim deceased inside of the home. A male subject remained on scene and has cooperated with investigators.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered this to be an incident between known individuals.
The deceased has been identified as Velgenia Brown, 35.
We have concluded our investigation and have handed it over to the DA’s Office. No further information will be released.
