MPD Needs the Public\'s Help Locating Suspect ( Kelvin Coleman)

MPD needs the public's help in locating 39-year-old Kelvin Coleman. Coleman has active warrants for Domestic Violence 2nd ( Assault) and Theft of Property 1st. Coleman was last seen in the area of Washington Avenue.

On Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at approximately 2:09 p.m., officers responded to the Shell gas station located at 750 Azalea Road in reference to a domestic complaint. The victim stated that a known male suspect (child’s father) jumped onto her vehicle. The victim pulled into the Shell gas and was assaulted by the suspect. The suspect left in the vehicle with the child. The victim was transported to the hospital.

UPDATE: Police located and arrested Coleman on 8/21/17. He used the victim's keys to unlawfully enter her residence, which is where police found him. Coleman faces an additional charge of burglary 3rd.
