The Mobile Police Department Special Victims Unit makes an arrest in a sexual assault investigation. On Thursday, December 16, 2021, Myron Turner, 53, was located and charged with sodomy first and second degree and sexual abuse first and second degree.
On Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at approximately 5:30 p.m., police officers responded to the Jet Gas Station, 1415 Dauphin Island Parkway, in reference to a sexual assault. Upon arrival, detectives determined that an unknown male, later identified as Turner, sexually assaulted a 13-year-old male juvenile at a residence on Neshota Drive.
Detectives have determined this is an isolated incident. Turner was taken into custody, arrested, and transported to Metro Jail.
