Homicide on Springhill Avenue

On October 23, 2013, 11:50 p.m. in the 900 block of Springhill Avenue, Mobile Police responded to a report of a male down. Upon arrival, officers found 48 year old Joseph O'Brien with an apparent gunshot wound. Mobile Fire-Rescue responded and the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Homicide Detectives will continue the investigation. If anyone has information about the incident, please call the Mobile Police Department at 208-7211.
