On Sunday, March 17, 2024 at approximately 4:06 p.m., officers responded to 505 Bel Air Boulevard, Bel Air Apartments, in reference to a male shot. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Aeron Lao, 24, deceased from a gunshot wound. While on scene, officers were able to locate the suspect, Alec Tran, 25. Upon further investigation, it was determined Lao and Tran, who were known to each other, were involved in an argument just before the shooting. Tran was arrested and transported to Metro Jail.
