UPDATE:
Elishia Langie, 20, was arrested and charged with Murder and Robbery 1st on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. This remains an active investigation, and additional details will be released once the investigation is complete.

On Monday, June 15, 2026, at approximately 5:05 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Gaylark Road N. and Elmwood Drive in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim deceased from a gunshot injury in the roadway. The name of the deceased individual will not be released until next of kin has been notified.
MPD also continues to investigate a shooting on Sunnyvale Lane W. which remains an active investigation. No further information will be released at this time.
