The Department of Public Safety welcomes Dr. Hezekiah Brown to Mobile next Friday, July 18, 2025, with two events. Dr. Brown will speak at Strickland Youth Center at 11 a.m. (closed event for the center's youth), but another event later in the day is open to the public and media. At 5:30 p.m., Dr. Brown will speak at the Dotch Community Center, with light food and refreshments to follow thanks to Cozy Brown's Kitchen.
Dr. Brown, who travels to various cities to speak and meet with community members, will discuss gun violence and conflict resolution as part of his visit.
