A Message from the Chief

Welcome to our Online home

Making Mobile the safest city in America with respect for everyone isn't just a slogan, it's a promise. We strive to keep our promise by providing fair and equal law enforcement to all citizens.

Our commitment runs deep with innovations that focus on the safety of our community. We work with community panels who examine our tactics, making sure they are acceptable to the neighborhoods we serve. We have mutual respect guidelines for citizens and police officers to follow, which are part of the training for new officers and in-field training for veteran officers. And, we connect youth with programs and services that help them avoid involvement in criminal activity.

We partner with the FBI, U.S. Attorney's Office, Mobile County District Attorney's Office, U.S. Marshals Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and United States Drug Enforcement Administration to arrest and get federal prison sentences for violent career criminals. Second chances are offered to nonviolent street-level drug dealers.

Mobile is a modern, world-class city of opportunities. At the Mobile Police Department, we are determined to ensure all citizens have access to those opportunities in a safe environment.

This website should help you utilize our services and keep you up to date on our progress.
