The Mobile Police Mounted Unit is excited to announce the inaugural Boots and Badges Kids Camp. Kids ages 6 to 13 are invited to spend four action-packed days with the mounted police officers to earn a t-shirt and badge. Two camp dates are available, June 4 through 7 and June 18 through 21, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
There will be something fun and new to learn each day about the barn and horses. Activities include pony rides in the arena, arts and crafts, hay rides, games, petting zoo and treasure hunts. There will also be mounted police and fire department demonstrations.
The cost to enroll in the Boots and Badges Kids Camp is $125. A nonrefundable deposit of $25 is required upon registration, and the balance is due by the first day of camp.
Space is limited with up to 30 available slots. To register, apply in person at the Mobile Mounted Police barn located at 1251 Virginia Street. The registration deadline is May 21, 2018.
