On August 3, 2021, the Mobile Police Department held its annual Crime Prevention 5k Run/Walk in conjunction with National Night Out. This annual community-building campaign promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood fellowship to make our neighborhoods safer and more caring. This year's overall winner in the 5k Run was Gabriel Bauer, with a time of 17:17. The overall female Bettina Lemons time was 22:38. Melissa Auld female master time 23:20, Jack Bishop male master 18:56, Maureen Van Devender female grand master time 24:22, Kendric Andrews male grand master time 20:21 and Tony Rogers senior grand master male 23:27.
