Precinct 4

My name is Eddie Patrick and I am the Commander of the Fourth Precinct. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our website. The website was designed to facilitate communication between our citizens and the staff of the Fourth Precinct. Our effectiveness is contingent upon a positive relationship with our community. The members of our precinct are committed to providing the highest quality police service available in a manner that is designed to garner respect from our citizens.

The Fourth Precinct covers approximately 26 square miles and is bordered by the City of Prichard to the North, I-65 to the East, Airport Blvd and Grelot Rd to the South, and Cody Rd to the West.
Our patrol officers are divided among 4 squads and work 12 hour shifts. We are allocated 28 patrol officers, with a Lieutenant and Sergeant for each squad. We also are allocated 2 full-time detectives, which are general investigators, and 1 investigative supervisor. Two Community Resource Officers supplement our personnel by taking reports over the telephone and handling walk-in complaints for some crimes.
